Telangana will continue to experience dry weather conditions, with no significant rainfall forecast for Hyderabad and other regions on Wednesday. The weather department indicated only the possibility of a brief rain spell during the evening, but overall, daytime conditions are expected to remain dry and stable.
Despite the recent rain activity over the past 10 days, which helped narrow the rainfall gap across the state, no immediate surge in precipitation is anticipated until the second week of August.
Forecast models show that intense thunderstorm activity could resume post August 9, with expectations of widespread rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. Meteorological experts suggest that this shift may bring a major upswing in rainfall data across the state.
An analysis of rainfall records reveals a significant turnaround over the past two weeks. On July 15, Telangana faced a 28 per cent shortfall in seasonal rainfall, while the Hyderabad region under GHMC limits was grappling with a 56 per cent deficit. As of July 27, Telangana's cumulative rainfall has risen slightly above normal, recording a 1 per cent surplus. GHMC’s deficit has narrowed considerably, standing now at just 4.3 per cent.
The recent showers have played a key role in reversing the negative trend, bringing much-needed relief.
